My journey to becoming a mental health counselor began through my own struggles. After competing for the Boise State Football team and realizing a lifelong dream of playing professionally in the NFL, I found myself grappling with anxiety, depression, anger, and addictive tendencies. Like many, change came slowly and then all at once, ultimately fueling my passion to help others find healing and reclaim what they've lost.

I earned my degree in Mental Health Counseling from Bastyr University, and since then, I've dedicated myself to empowering individuals to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. I've had the privilege of working with the Family Drug Treatment Court for Snohomish County and Evergreen Recovery Center as a co-occurring treatment counselor, where I developed expertise in DBT, group therapy, and individual counseling. My focus on both mental health and substance use treatment allowed me to support individuals in finding stability and growth, both personally and professionally.

Eager to expand my skills, I piloted an integrated program of substance use and mental health treatment within a school setting, where I spent the next five years working with adolescents and their families. I utilized CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing techniques to address substance use issues, as well as anxiety, depression, and the transition from adolescence to adulthood.

After returning home to Idaho, I accepted a position at an co-occuring inpatient substance use treatment center where I implement group therapy, couples counseling, and 12 step recovery process. During my career, I have developed a wide range of professional experience across various counseling settings, and I approach each client with empathy and a commitment to fostering personal growth. My goal is to help individuals reclaim their lives, navigate life’s challenges, and discover the strength they need to move forward.
